Prominent law firm Lathrop GPM (formerly Hopkins & Carley prior to their October 2024 merger) hosts an ongoing series of hybrid client events led by their San Jose Labor & Employment team. Held onsite in Northern California and live-streamed via webinar, the series provides California employers with critical guidance on complex legal topics—including Wage & Hour compliance, Leaves of Absence (FMLA/CFRA/PDL), and Performance Management.
Sholl Media Group was retained to engineer a reliable, enterprise-grade hybrid live production setup. We deliver multi-camera switching, studio-quality audio capture, seamless Zoom webinar integration for off-site attendees, and post-event recording/materials packaging for continuing education compliance (CLE, HRCI, and SHRM credit tracking).
THE BRIEF
The brief required transforming complex, multi-part legal presentations into dynamic, interactive hybrid events. Across multi-session modules covering intricate topics—such as California minimum wage, meal/rest break compliance, FMLA/CFRA leave interaction, and progressive discipline—the production needed to seamlessly bridge in-person audience engagement with virtual webinar participants.
Beyond high-definition video capture, Lathrop GPM required crystal-clear audio recording and precise slide integration so remote attorneys and HR executives could follow real-world case studies, view presentation materials, and complete post-event accreditation for CLE, HRCI, and SHRM credits.
Our approach
We deployed a high-performance mobile flypack equipped with broadcast video switchers, multi-channel audio mixing, and direct digital slide capture. By routing presentation decks straight into the live switcher, off-site webinar attendees received crisp, high-resolution graphic feeds alongside tight presenter isolation shots rather than a degraded camera capture of a physical display screen.
Post-session, we processed master multi-track video feeds into on-demand webinar archives and downloadable course recordings, enabling Lathrop GPM to offer continuous educational resources and self-reporting materials to enrolled attendees.
